A Pool With a View

The Colonnade Hotel in Boston has been one of those dated, aging hotels that has been around forever but no one has ever updated for one reason or another. But I just saw that in fact, they have done a big renovation to the local hotel that features Boston’s only roof deck pool! Granted, it’s no Soho House, but it’s got views of the city down to the Charles River! The rooms are now updated with fabulous amenities and modern baths, am loving the Eames-esque management task chairs. I even love the new logo, which reminds me of Blueprint’s cover a bit!

  1. Before I moved out to LA this pool scene was a favorite. I don’t know what year the hotel was renovated but it was back in the early 2000’s that my gang would sneak in. Oh to be young and shameless again!!!!!

  2. Thank you so much for the complimentary pub! We were so excited to read what you had to say about our reinvention. It was even more rewarding for us to read a compliment from a designer like yourself! You noticed the many details and thought that went into the design (naturally). For an in depth design tour of the rooms, you can visit http://www.reinventedhotel.com.

Stay tuned for some more exciting changes – the hotel’s exterior / marquis was just upgraded a few minutes ago. Contemporary artwork is on it’s way to the lobby. Again- thanks for the positive press.

PS: Call it the mutual admiration society – we love your website and interior designs and wish you much sucess!
