Redd in Bed

This is one of my all time favorite bedrooms by design crush Miles Redd. I love the way the room has an air of whimsy but without making it loud and in your face. It combines the best of traditional (chinoiserie wallpaper) and modern (ceramic gourd lamps and Weinrib rug). Let’s try to recreate it in a more budget friendly way…

Chinoiserie mural wallpaper,, $6.50/ sq. foot

Blue graphic rug, Ballard Designs, approx. 8′ x 10′, $899
Campaign Bed, Anthropologie, Queen, $1,687

Bellino Duvet set, SmartBargains, $79.99 for queen

Pair of chinese garden stools at foot of bed, HomeDecoDirect, $179 ea.
Pair of Robert Abbey ceramic lamps, $188.25 ea.

More Miles Redd bedrooms. Swoon.

  1. Oh I love Miles as well. What great style he has. I love recreating things you love in a budget friendly way.

I love the rug in the first pic. It reminds me of the pillows in your bedroom.

  2. The top room is one of my fav bedrooms as well. You did a great job of finding more budget friendly options to recreate the room too!

  3. You did such a great job recreating on a budget! I just bought one of those Abbey lamps in cream at an antique store in my town for …$5!!! I adore it, it has a pagoda feel to it. I do not have a shade for it yet, still hunting. Great post.

  4. Love what you’ve done here- Ive always admired the Miles Redd room too…I tried getting a client to get the Anthropologie bed once but it just did not happen..sigh
