Faux Sho’

I was flipping through the Grandin Road catalog last night and pondering some of the Christmas decor when I spotted this faux white tree. It reminded me of Lee Kleinhelter’s mod tree (right) in her Cottage Living spread. I thought it looked great in her space, but a few of you disagreed. Regardless, if you’re looking for a really modern, cheeky tree this year (and have some $ to spare), this one’s for you!
And while we’re talking about a designer X-mas- how about these ikat stockings and tree skirt from Ballard? LOVE!

  1. I like the ikat stockings. I got the ones with dots from them last year, cute stuff.
I am in anticipation of your holiday gift idea blogs!!!

  2. I LOVE the white trees too!!! I can’t (and don’t want to) go whole-hog and buy a big white one for the living room, but believe a little 3′ version I’ve been eying at Urban Outfitters will come home with me soon for my own mostly white with pops of retro color room!

On a side note: I bought that issue of Cottage Living after your post on Lee Kleinhelter’s new home – and I just learned it’s the last. What a shame…

  3. I have a little aluminum 3′ tree I bought from Urban Outfitters a few years back, and it suits me fine. Trust me, that fakey white tree is cute and all, but boy, what I wouldn’t give to not be deathly allergic to pine trees in the home!! I spent a few years as a kid laid up with pneumonia before we figured out what was causing it. Ugh. I want a real tree. :(

  4. Those ikat stockings are at Ballard’s Backroom on clearance for less than $5 each if you’re in Atlanta!
