Happy Holidays Readers!

“The Ranch” and the driveway/road up to it

Tonight or tomorrow morning I’m off to “The Ranch” a.k.a. my parent’s house in CT for some much needed country solace and R&R (and a belly full of turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pie). A little antiquing will certainly be in the cards, as will lots of plotting for my holiday gift guides, which will begin next week- right now the categories are as follows: For Her, For Him, For Home, For Kids and Under $50. If there are any other categories you are simple desperate for, leave a comment! I may have to throw in my personal list for Santa- just in case he reads my blog. :)
In the meantime, some modern country living finds inspired by my holiday destination…to which I must get to quickly since Baxter is sitting here staring at me with desperate eyes which say “You said we were going to NANA’S HOUSE!!! Let’s go NOW!!!”

  1. I hope you and your family have a great Thanksgivings! Can’t wait to see pics from Ct and see whatever finds you get while shopping.

  2. For her, for him, for them, for you, for me and for all.
I love giving really great home-made items, hand baked, hand drawn, hand-knit, handy practical things too. I love “hostess” gifts, a basket complete with good olive oil, pasta, sauce, fresh cheese and a bottle of wine, great Italian Crusty bread and garlic…a complete meal. People always love that.
Always love what you scout out!

  3. Hello and Happy Thanksgiving! I’m not much of a commenter, but I have to say that I LOVE YOUR BLOG! It’s one of my top reads. You have amazing taste and I love to see pics from your home and your parents home. They are both beautiful. Antiquing sounds like a wonderful way to spend the holiday weekend. I’m, truly, a fan. I’m really looking forward to seeing your lists for holiday shopping. You seem to always find great things! Hope you had a wonderful holiday!!!
