Product Junkie: Shu Umera Cleansing Oil

Can we take a beauty break? I think so. I just had to share this new discovery I’m absolutely loving- Shu Umera’s Cleansing Oils. I grabbed a travel size of the Skin Purifier Beauty Oil at the checkout at Sephora the other day as I was curious after reading about it in some magazine. It feels really strange to clean your skin with a palm full of oil but MAN does this stuff work! It dissolves all your makeup and grime leaving no residue and your white towels white (normal cleansers still leave makeup on your skin so you get that lovely “makeup face print” on the towels when drying off! Hate that.) My skin feels way cleaner, calmer and brighter in just a week’s use!
I’m sold!

  1. I am a total cleansing oil convert as well! It seems so counter-intuitive to put oil on your face but the results are a-ma-zing!

  2. I know what you mean! I've used the olive oil cleanser from DHC (a Japanese line as well) – it, too is amazing!

  3. I saw this product in a magazine recently, too, and was skeptical but I'd LOVE to find a product that kept my towels pristine (of course, lovely skin would be nice too).

  4. If iti s in a bottle, I will one day own it, no worries. On the other thing though: I took a que from Martha Stewart and had small black towels monogrammed for the guest bath with the little word "Makeup" in ecru thread. No more guests make up on my white towels, that was not a pleasing thing for me – because like you, I tend to be very selective about things…

  5. I LOVE this stuff. My roommate from college works for Shu umera and sent me samples and I fell in love…

  6. I would never have thought to clean my face with an oily product, but I'll take your word for it :)

  7. I'm a makeup artists and I love Shu cleansing oil for makeup removal. Also works well with pen stains and hard to remove crap on your hands. I like to follow up with Skinceuticals Simply clean gel cleanser during the summer when the skin is a bit more oily.

  8. Dying to try it, which version do you use I read all the descriptions, I am susceptible to breakouts but have aging skin. Argh!

  9. LOVE Shu oil as well! I have been using it for years, and it does NOT break you out! I know oils can be scary! I'm a make-up artist as well, and have access to many products, but I am consistent with my oil!

Anonymous , you might want to use the fresh version in the pink's more light weight!
