Fashion Friday: Go Green

As fall approaches the colors on the racks transition from bright and sunny to deep and moody- this season one of my favorite color trends is deep green.  I’ve always loved this color on me and on most others.  It has the weight and sleekness of black but with a little more life.  Here are some great deep green picks for fall:

Last weekend I got to wear a bridesmaids dress in this fab color by Jim Hjelm. So stylish- I highly recommend looking at his various styles!

  1. Oh I love this color so much, I have a bag, several coats, scarves, you name it. I seem to always choose it for fall, it makes me feel cozy. I even have a bikini in this color, to match the lake at my folks house.

  2. I love that you have fashion posts as well as interior design! Green can be a tricky shade – I dislike military greens and olive greens, but the colors in this post are quire nice. I especially LOVE the Niemen Marcus dress. Thanks for sharing!

  3. When I got married, I knew Jim Hjelm was the one for my girls. He truly has amazing dresses with such rich color options. You are one likely bridesmaid! Dare I say, you can totally wear that again…

  4. I ADORE green and as someone pale complected with auburn hair, it is one of the few colors I like to wear. You look absolutely lovely in your green dress and you found some really great finds. I am in love with the Nanette Lepore jacket – it fulfills so many functions this season – army, utilitarian, etc. and i can’t believe the vest is from Old Navy. Really terrific post!

  5. Love the green dress over maroon tights color combo. Hope you are loving Napa! What’s not to love. Wine, food, mountains. Am reluctantly heading back to Boston today from Boulder.

  6. So funny – I just wore that exact same dress as a bridesmaid in a wedding this past weekend. Mine was a burgundy though – not green.
