A Bright Sunshiney Day

In two weeks I am headed to St. Maarten (with a trip over to St. Barth’s scheduled) with my husband’s family and I CANNOT WAIT. You do not know how badly I need a vacation! While I ponder warm sun on my face and the sound of waves crashing in my ears, I put together a fabulously glam patio look to dress up any outdoor space (cannot get enough of those Z.Gallerie pavilions!)

  1. Ahh! So lucky. Enjoy. I often envy how gals in their 20s/early 30s get to go on fabulous vacas and have so many nice things and then I realize it’s because many people are fortunate to have parents who still treat them to these nice things – whether in time or treasure. This is not the case w/my family or my husband’s. We gotta pay and do every thing. No handouts of any kind. Not even a hand-me-down piece of furniture. People say the extra work and hard work will make us appreciate it all the more. But honestly – I would give anything for a paid vacation to the islands. Keep it real and enjoy your vacation for all of those who only wish we had such an opportunity.

  3. Have a fabulous time-I love St. Maarten-they have the best French bakery/sandwich shop on the French side of the island that you must try! I have never been to St. Barths, but it has always looked quite fabulous!

    That ZGallerie pavilion is amazing!

  4. hey..ps. i tried on the jcrew polka dot suit for this trip and it was so bad! all you saw was all those spots..i went with the striped french number..wayyyy cute!

  5. oh… the sound of the waves with sun-kissed skin, it has been too too long for me!

btw, the pavilion is awesome. and then i saw it on your blog as $50 and I was like, get out! so i followed the link, and its 599, the 50 is just the special handling charge :) but if its quality and can last, could be worth it!

  6. I love, love, love St. Barths. My husband I are planning to go back in September…. hope you enjoy your time there as much as we love it!
