I went to get a pedicure a few weeks ago and was scolded by the nail technician for being overdue. Like, 4 months overdue. While the winter months kept my feet in Uggs and Sorels, I kept my nails, well, unkempt. I’d slap on some polish before a yoga class (maybe) as to not completely gross out the other down-ward doggers, but this winter I really could not give a shit. Now that spring has sprung (perhaps where you are, because we are still in sweaters here) it’s time to get those southern hemisphere digits in order and ready for open toed shoes! So here I have paired some of my favorite spring shoes with fab nail colors to get you inspired for warm weather!
Dolce Vita beaded sandals are so on trend, and so is bright orange-y red nails.
I was AMAZED when I received this pair of Sofft shoes that look exactly like J.Crew but cheaper AND more comfy (check out the line- you’ll be shocked). Paired with hot pink and some cropped cargo pants they are fierce as H-E-Double L.
Or you can go hot pink (and J.Crew) on the shoes and nude/pink on the toes!
Go preppy and nautical with Sperry Top Sider seersucker wrap wedges and navy tootsies to match. Natch.
Bold turquoise super high Louboutins can’t be challenged-so keep the toes bare!
Meow.$7 Leopard flip flops meet their match with sassy red paint.
These snakeskin and horn looking heel booties are RIDICULOUS. Love. Especially with taupe toes.
I j’adore the stripe lining of these Manolos– very Parisian. So go all the way with a French pedicure.
Chocolate all around with these leather studded Forever 21 thongs and hot pink nails to draw attention to your bargain.
Who doesn’t want Louboutin’s signature red soles? (Show some respect by matching the toes!)
The wedge espadrille is a MUST HAVE…pair these Michael Kors with light coral. So fab with a tan.
On chillier days ballet flats are fine, and a taupe shade keeps it neat and clean.
Lady killer Tory Burch heels with amazing details are made deadly sexy with near black nails.
Watch out fellas.
