Sponsor Welcome: Boutique Design

While I am on vacation this week I’ll still be blogging here and there from the islands with dedicated daily posts welcoming my fabulous new slew of sponsors that help keep this blog going! Today I am delighted to welcome Boutique Design, a New England based event planning company that crafts delightful, stylish, detail-oriented events (weddings, specifically).  I am particularly wedding focused right now as my youngest brother proposed to his amazing girlfriend not two weeks ago and I am helping them plan their wedding (congrats Connor and Lizzie- I promise not to interfere with my hyper event planning enthusiasm)! Check out these fabulous snapshots from some of Boutique Design’s past events and contact them for your wedding panning needs!

And speaking of weddings- not all of us can spend six figures on the quadruple tiered silk taffeta crystal encrusted event of our dreams- but you don;t have to in order to have an INCREDIBLE event.  Have you checked out the budget friendly new Vera Wang line at David’s Bridal ? ( Disclaimer: I still hold a grudge against Vera Wang for my wedding dress catastrophe but I had to share this source….even thoug it kills me to make her more money.)

These two one shouldered numbers are amazing and are $1,200 and $600 respectively. I friggin’ love them. And as someone who lost a massive deposit on a dress that I was mis-measured for (ahem…VERA…ahem) and then spend a small fortune on another quick pick dress (Monique Lhullier) that was on me for all of 8 hours and now sits in a sad little box in my closet at home, I can say with all honesty –don’t spend a fortune on your dress unless you sleep on a mattress stuffed with money. It’s silly and the biggest mistake I made at my wedding.  Ignore the label, trust your instincts.

Or how about this two in one dress where you can zip off the skirt to make a second look for dancing? Brills.

OK, off I go for some vitamin d and a little glow!

  1. gorgeous images …totally agree with you about not breaking the bank for a wedding dress….the ones you have picked out here are fabulous …have a lovely sunday…do visit my blog when you hav a moment! xx meenal

  2. Lovely post and I couldn’t agree more with you about not overspending on a wedding dress. I bought a gorgeous Amsale off the rack for $500 and I felt pretty and elegant (but not overdone!) on my wedding day. Everyone commented that the dress looked exactly like “me” and was a true reflection of my personal style. The money you save is so much better put to good use on something that will last, like a down payment on a house, or an amazing experience like travel.

Congrats to your brother and his fiance! They’re lucky to have your help with their wedding!

  3. The dresses are gorgeous, and very much in the vein of Spanish wedding dress specialist house, Pronovias. If you like some swing in your dress, and a relatively affordable pricetag, pronovias is definitley worth a look. Its not as well known in America…..yet!

  4. I’m so excited to see your article on Boutique Designs!! I hired them for my wedding in Oct 2010. I had so many ideas but when it came time making decisions, I couldn’t, they helped me every step of the way! My friends and family were amazed at how beautiful the reception was – so many fun and bright colors! Julie, Maura and Lisa have amazing talent – truly amazing, they helped make my wedding planning easy and fun!

  5. I attended a wedding that Boutique Design put together last year. I can tell you from experience of attending numerous weddings, that i have never seen a group of women act with such class and put together some of the most beautiful flower arrangements i have ever seen!! My daughter is getting married in two years from now, and without a question i will be hiring boutique Design!

  6. My friends Son used Boutique Design for his wedding two years ago, and the colors that Maura, Lisa, and Julie put together for the centerpieces and bouquets were breath taking! The Reception was like something out of a wedding magazine!! My friend’s son and Daughter in Law, said that they were so amazing to work with, and helped them every step of the way!! Boutique Design truly made their wedding experience something they will never forget!!! My daughter is only 20, but i can not wait till she gets married so i can have the pleasure of working with these ladies!!

  7. I saw Boutique Design featured in the Boston Wedding Magazine!!! It stopped me in my tracks at how beautiful the pictures were!! i immediately went to their website that was listed, and have not stopped talking to my friends about how amazing their work is since. I don’t have any children, but my niece just got engaged and i will highly recommend Boutique Design!! I have already put the buzz in my sister’s ear about them! I look forward to meeting these ladies and having the pleasure of attending a wedding that they are taking on!! =)

  8. I feel lucky to have even been invited to a wedding by boutique design. My friend was married last summer and everything was perfect, from the place cards down to each tea light on the tables. These woman sure know how to throw a great event and you can tell they love doing it, which made all the difference. One thing to pay particular notice to is their work with floral arrangements, these woman must not sleep! Every flower looks as though it was individually placed, absolutely beautiful work. Thanks to these woman and (of course) a very happy bride a groom the entire party exuberated happiness. I can’t wait to have them with me for my big day.
