Last week I actually checked flights to Paris, feeling this overwhelming urge to get away and roam the gorgeous streets of my most favorite city. I saw this gorgeous video the other day that made me want to go even more. In fact, I’ve been to Paris in the winter and hope to someday spend Christmas there. Take a five minute break and check this out:

And here are a few things for the home that always remind me of Paris:

I found Oriental Tribe on Etsy the other day and think these pillows are insanely gorgeous for the prices they are charging! Made of authentic tribal textiles and in such fabulous textures and colors I think these are awesome accents for just about anywhere.
Not sure how to pair these pillows with others? Here are some suggestions!

A friend of mine posted a picture on Instagram last week of her new herringbone wood floors and I nearly collapsed in jealousy. There is nothing I love more than a beautifully installed herringbone floor- or even better- an old one in an antique home. Especially if that home happens to be in Paris. You don’t see people putting these in that often anymore (the cost being prohibitive) but I swear if I ever renovate or build a home in my future, at least ONE space will have these.
Exquisite Surfaces has some STUNNING options using vintage wood!
If you can’t swing the wood floors, you can also try installing wood tiles in a smaller space like muudroom or bathroom to get a hint of the look! These are all ceramic tiles!
There is nothing better than buying something that you know you can wear a multitude of ways- both for your wallet and for your peace of mind when getting dressed (or packing for a trip!) One of those items, that is a STAPLE for summer office dressing is the skinny cropped black pant. Now I have not worked in a real office in YEARS, but if I did I’m pretty sure I’d be rocking skinny black pants all the time (shown here is the J.Crew Minnie but I have the Pixie and LOVE them). Here is a pair shown dressed for the office, for a night out and for the weekend. Lots of bang for your buck!
1. // 2. // 3. // 4. // 5. // 6. // 7. // 8. (also looks KILLER with jeans!) // 9. // 10. // 11. // 12. // 13. // 14. // 15. // 16. // 17.
This all said, isn’t this exactly how you want to look/feel/be this weekend? Yeah, me too.
This might be my favorite game, ever. As illustrated by my third installment of interiors vs. fashion! So let’s take a peek at the pairings….
Malachite is still hot- just check out these drapes and this budget-busting Monique Lhuillier gown!
I wish I had the balls to get a pink sofa like this- but I have a husband I’d like to keep. Instead I’m eying this pink wallet– perhaps a birthday gift por moi?
I actually am not a big fan of red in interiors. But this sofa kinda slays me. And this great blazer does too. Both look great paired with deep inky blue! I’m so ready for fall!
Abstract art, like this print from Lindsay Cowles (check out her amazing selection of affordable canvas prints now available) doesn’t have to stay only on walls- they look great as dresses too!
I spent last night wishing I was drinking wine at a cafe in Paris. Then I saw this top aptly named “Wine and Dine Outdoors”– with a print of ladies imbibing cafe-style and it made me smile. Would look SO cute with skinny jeans and cute black ballet flats!
Love the upholstery on this chair? Then you probably also love this amaze striped Claire Vivier tote!
More red! What is the deal with me today? But I do love red and purple together and these Tory smoking slippers are just WAY WAY too awesome!!!
Ahhhh, now HERE is my palette. Black, white and tan with lots o’ gold. Sleek and simple- just like this awesome jumpsuit (that’s under $90 too!) If only it weren’t for my freakishly long torso (like, circus freak sideshow long).
Everyone’s favorite zebra wallpaper is now a blouse from C.Wonder (available in red and white too!)
DUH. This one is super obvious coming from me but that dress is pretty damn cute for fall.
More DUH. Black and white stripes will be my jam until I’m in a wheelchair. These shoes are pretty amazing, right?
