Team EGD’s Fall Wishlists!

There is so much going on in our office right now- not to mention the fact that we MOVED our office and are trying to get it set up! We’ve had so many photo-shoots, book layout sessions, project meetings and, thank goodness, laughs. None of this is possible without Lindsey and Allison, who make it feasible for me to maintain this blog AND my business while trying to finish up this book!  They each have amazing taste, and I wanted to keep sharing their personal wishlists with you- after all, I am hardly the end all be all of style.

  1. This one’s for Allison:
    The gold flatware above (which, I assume, is West Elm) was sold recently on One Kings Lane under the auspices of the actual manufacturer (Cambridge) for about 80% less than what West Elm charges for the same thing (only with the West Elm logo on the knifeblade).

    By a misunderstanding, I ended up with an entire setting for 12 that I do not need (I only needed four place settings, and they sent me 16!). I’d be more than happy to ship them to you for what I paid for them. They were final sale on OKL, so I cannot return them and don’t have need for 12 extra place settings, obviously. I was charged $14 for four place settings, which is far less expensive than the $29 you pay for just one place setting at West Elm.

    I already owned eight of the place settings from West Elm, and have compared the sets from OKL – they are identical.

  2. I love so many of these items! The white quartz bookends are gorgeous, and I love the Pottery Barn throw. Every time I see it I become more and more tempted-it looks like the softest, cuddliest blanket in the world. You’re lucky to work with such talented ladies!

  3. Steinmart has a very similar throw (at least the Palm Springs store does) for $39 (inc tax). I bought it in “mink”.

  5. Just to follow up: OKL finally agreed to accept the extraneous flatware as a return. Keep your eye out at OKL – I’m sure they’ll have them on the site again.
