Michelle Smith’s Sea & City Homes

In perusing the internet and blog world recently I came across not one but TWO homes that belong to New York designer Michelle Smith– one in Sag Harbor (via Lonny) and her city apartment in Greenwich Village via (One King’s Lane).  I am loving her non-fussy, laid back, collected-over-time look in both homes. This kind of understated design always feels natural, comfortable and timeless to me.

I’d like to sit here and have a cup of coffee in the morning, wouldn’t you?

The exposed brick paired with whimsical paper and the striped shade is spot on.

Her city apartment is a slightly more formal take on her style. Those blue chairs are the perfect shade, are they not? I also am now obsessed with the whole white jeans, cream sweater situation happening here.
