Fashion Friday: Dressing Up When the Temp is Down

For those that live in cold climates getting dressed in something beyond a big sweater, jeans and Uggs during this time of year can feel like torture.  How does one look nice when so many layers are required? I’ve given it some thought and here are a few outfits to keep you looking hot when the thermometer is reading cold.

This blazer is pretty genius with a zip in sweater neck, reducing bulk while keeping your neck warm!  Wear with a camisole underneath and some amazing knee high boots (I am still lusting after these so hard).

Layering double layered opaque tights (my fave) under a above the knee skirt can make it office appropriate (for some ages) AND keep you warm.  These heels are sleeker than a bootie but heartier than a pump and cover up your foot snug while being sexy!  Wear with a fitted turtleneck and top with a faux fur lined faux leather jacket (that’s a lot of faux) for edge.

I am obsessed with my leather pants in the winter- it’s the warmest way to dress up and stay warm! I love pairing them with a slouchy off the shoulder sweater (sexy and yet cozy).  And that coat is SO amazing, no?

Jumpsuits are your friend in the winter when attending some more formal events.  Pair with a fun faux fur jacket and a statement necklace.
