Fashion Friday (on Monday): #Bossladies

Since I had a major brain fart last Friday and thought it was Thursday when I posted, today we’re starting off our week with a little fashion!  A blog (and Boston) friend Robin Anderson (who you may have seen on the cover of the newest Rue Magazine) has just launched an adorable tote company that celebrates women, or #bossladies to be accurate. :)  Each tote is limited edition and will feature formidable female icons (Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Martha Stewart, for example…)  But I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the first one- J.Crew’s First Lady and all around amazing fashionista Jenna Lyons!   After repeatedly joking with friends that when pondering fashion questions, Robin would often ask “What would Jenna Lyons do?”- and the idea for the #bossladies bags was born!

Printed locally by hand on recycled cotton bags that complies with fair wage and fair labor practices, they cost $35 including free shipping (BUY HERE).  And are a totally perfect gift for any women in your life, I think!

There are so many ways to carry it too! :)  I pulled together some #bossladies spring looks to compliment the Jenna tote…

Use it to bring your gym clothes or lunch to the office with you…

Perhaps you work outside the office in a creative field?  Carry your iPad, laptop or other supplies with you while running around town.

Not working? It’s perfect for trips to the grocery store, farmer’s market or out shopping!

Who would you like to see on a #bossladies tote??

  1. Super chic! I am totes buying one of these totes. Love the Jenna. Way to go, Robin!

  2. Love the office look! Is that scarf the Rag and Bone Camo print scarf? I couldn’t get the link to work.

  3. The “Out of the Office” looks are great and those leopard gladiators by Loeffler Randall have to be your summer look.

  4. These looks make me so excited that it’s finally (hopefully!) spring and I can put away my parka for a while! What I love most about Jenna Lyons is that she just owns her look — and it always seems effortless!

  5. The bags are great. Not a criticism, but I wonder what went into licensing each person’s likeness to appear on the bags? It’s a compliment to each of these women and they are certainly role models for creative, working women. It just seems a little funny that JCREW would be okay with another company making a profit off a bag featuring their creative director.

  6. This is the precise weblog for anybody who needs to seek out out about this topic. You notice so much its almost arduous to argue with you. You positively put a brand new spin on a subject that’s been written about for years. Nice stuff, simply nice!
