A Dream Event Venue

My project manager Lindsey showed me this amazing place, The Barn at Flanagan Farm, an amazing event venue close to Portland, Maine and I just about died.  This spectacular barn and farmhouse, lovingly and painstakingly renovated by new owner Gail Landry (read more about the process here), is such a warm, gorgeous spot to celebrate some of life’s greatest moments. And what design inspiration too!

First, the barn…

Here it is all done up for a wedding (see the whole wedding here)

And now for the farmhouse, which can house the bride and bridesmaids… (get ready to swoon)

Oh, to be able to get married again! I’d do it right here. :)

  1. That is seriously beautiful. Remember how you were asking a while ago whether renewing vows was tacky? Not if you do it here! (Wink wink!)

  2. Sorry, won’t be able to hold any more weddings. I’m moving into that farm house and not moving out! Right now!

Let me just get my books and clothes packed and oh, tell my husband we’re moving.

  3. Too much goodness to even process. Especially those geode-like (or marble?) lamps on either side of the doorway in the main house. Drool.

  4. Absolutely amazing. I had to walk away in the middle and come back to it when I could I take it! Thanks!

  5. Any guesses on the wall and trim paint colors in the “another guest room” shot? So many inspirational images and vignettes here. Wow.

  6. Oh my god this is too perfect to mention! I would have loved to do something like this for my norcal wedding in October, but we couldn’t find a space that looked like this but had the capacity. And that cottage for the bridal party….. swoon…

  7. This is beautiful! I love the neutrals with the hits of pink. But I especially love the blue and white that shows up everywhere. this is one of my favorite color/non-color combinations

  8. I looked at this place for my wedding back in 2013, but the only part of it was available as they were renovating! We ended up in a great spot but this place is unreal!

  9. Oh my word, this is beautiful!! A barn was my first choice location for our wedding 11 years ago but in my search I never came across anything remotely like this! I’ll never regret renting a rambling, old home on Stage Harbor in Chatham to have it instead, but boy, everything about this is absolutely amazing.

  10. Ho-lee crap. This is everything and more! I need to move into that farmhouse IMMEDIATELY! Packing my things now….

You should TOTALLY do a vow renewal here!! And then invite random blog followers (a la me) to oooh and aahhh with you.

  11. This is such an amazing, stunning venue! If I had not already planned my wedding, I would seriously consider a Maine wedding just to be there! Thanks for sharing this gem.

  12. Wow, That is stunning, Erin! Thanks for sharing. Total swoon. Very inspiring because I work for The Curtis House in Ashfield, MA and the owner has so much energy to make things beautiful at her Inn and event space too. You must check it out.

  13. One of my best friends was married here in the Fall–it was truly stunning in person! While the pictures are gorgeous, they don’t do justice!
The house is incredibly charming and the barn looks beautiful in candlelight. So glad you featured this venue on your blog–really deserving!
