I figured I’d share some pictures from our babymoon/ 10th anniversary trip down to the Maryland shore last week. It was so nice to actually take a week off- a hard thing to do when you run your own business AND and preparing for a baby- but much needed.
We stayed at the Inn at Perry Cabin which has phenomenal views- including those from our bed! The light in the mornings was nothing short of magical.
The historical inn is a mix of quaint and expansive. To be totally honest, there were some things about it that were frustrating when paying the kind of rates they charge (for example- 2 of the 4 nights we were there they closed the only outdoor patio for dining for a small group of businessmen, which stinks). But the views and the property are so beautiful!
We sat here every evening and looked out over the bay. Lovely.
We lucked out with great weather too :)
One of the best things we did was a sunset cruise on the Selina II, a fabulous sailboat with a sassy captain, Iris, whose grandfather commissioned the building of the boat in the 1920’s. If you are ever in the area I highly recommend it.
Captain Iris. And how cute is she and the little vase of flowers?? We sailed around the bay and they served champagne and wine and it was just SO totally relaxing.
The sunset was INSANE.
Like, for real. I think Andrew and I took about 684 pictures of it combined.
The pub at the hotel- I can imagine how cozy this is in the winter with a fire going!
The spa was great- top to bottom- I loved the building too!
When I was brought into the “relaxation room” I flipped over the wall panels with real inset pressed flowers and leaves. GENIUS! Also, those zero gravity chairs are heaven on a pregnant woman’s back. I want one.
Walking around the property- this is a patio of one of the rooms.
The greenhouse, gardens and croquet court.
My mom would sell and organ for one of these greenhouses!
The driveway to the inn, surrounded by lovely trees and plantings.
The best part- five solid days alone with this guy before our son arrives and ROCKS our world.
