This week holds my last book tour stop, I can not believe it! It went by SO fast, and I’ll be recapping my Chicago trip tomorrow and the whole experience soon (Andrew will also chime in with his take on this surreal experience). But for my “victory lap” party I can think of no better place than my favorite home store here in Boston, Hudson, in the South End. They just switched the store displays over for fall (and always do such an amazing job) so I sent my assistants Lindsey and Allison to take some pictures of all the new goodies while I was traveling! More info on the party after the jump….

Last night we ended this grueling main leg of our tour in San Francisco at Pottery Barn on Chestnut Street. Competing with the Giants playoff game was tough, but we still had a great turnout and it was a wonderful way to celebrate the end of what has been the most mind-blowing, humbling and inspiring experience for me. So first and foremost, thank you to everyone who came out- those who drove hours, waited in line and spent their hard earned money on books. THANK YOU.
Also it has to be said that single men MISSED OUT on a goldmine of gorgeous, smart, stylish women at all these signings I’ve had! Andrew noticed it at our first party in Boston and it held true through the tour! A great example from last night below :)
We had so much fun last night at Tootsies in Houston (holy amazing store, by the way!) Way more people turned out than I had expected, some even driving from three hours away! And as with all my stops, the ladies rocked the leopard OUT in honor of the book. :)

We landed yesterday morning at the airport after waking up at 4 a.m. for our flight and I literally became an amnesia patient… “Where are we?? What day is it??” This has been a whirlwind, and while we are both exhausted, these parties have been magnificently energizing and inspiring for me. Meeting so many of you and hearing about your lives really has lit a fire under my ass to re-commit to the blog in a big way once this is over. Not that I’ve been uncommitted, but after almost 8 years of doing this the burnout is real (as you’ve seen lately with a lot of big time bloggers calling it quits). But let me assure you, I’m not going anywhere. Especially after this experience!
I was excited not only to meet my Dallas readers, but also get to see Wisteria’s only store! I order from them all the time for clients and myself- namely my new bedroom nightstands I adore- so to get to see ALL the goodies from them in person was awesome for me! What a gorgeous store!
First the outfit- since this was daytime in Texas I went a mix of fancy (the shoes), casual (the jeans and tank) and business (jacket and pearls). I look so damn tired and awkward here but whatevs.
Jacket: Ann Taylor // Tank: Calypso // Jeans: J Brand // Pearl necklace: J.Crew // Amulet Pendant: Temple St. Clair (thanks Mom & Dad!) // Shoes: Valentino // Bracelet: Banana Republic (best buy ever- looks so pricey- but 30% off today!) // Since someone had asked, my beloved curling iron is this one. Never leave home without it.
We had a blast last night in Raleigh at Furbish Studio, but had to wake up at 4 a.m. to make out 6:30 a.m. flight to Dallas so we would be there in time for my 11 a.m.-2 p.m. signing at Wisteria (please come, y’all)- which I am currently on! I am bleary eyed and hopped up on caffeine, and not in my most creative mindset- however, I couldn’t leave you hanging without a post. So here are some colorful snaps from last night as well as my outfit, which I actually LOVED- this top is heaven- it’s long in the back to cover your bum and loose but not so loose it’s looks maternity. And check out that perfect leopard print. Also, my niece Kate who happens to be the cutest thing ever.
Top: Elizabeth & James “Everly” (on sale today!!!!) // Pants- Helmut Lang // Shoes: Christian Louboutin // Curling Iron (a staple on this tour) // All those awesome pillows: Furbish Studio :)
