Hey guys! Wanted to let you know about an event I’m doing next week during Boston Design Market with one of my favorite people, Stacy Kunstel, who is the homes editor at New England Home magazine, regional editor for Meredith Corporation and founder of Dunes & Duchess (oh, and a great stylist who helped me with my book!) It’s on Thursday October 7th at 11:45 at the new 7 Tide Showroom near the Boston Design Center. We’ll be talking about “doing it all”– both of us wear many hats and have found a modicum of work/life balance and we hope to share our stories and tips with you. Bring your questions!
You can RSVP here for this free event and luncheon. Hope to see some of you there!
I have always wanted to have my own boutique. Obviously adding that to my already insane to-do list is too much, so when M. Flynn approached me about doing a pop-up shop in coordination with my jewelry collection with them I leapt at the chance! They renovated an amazing little space off their gorgeous store and we filled it with brands I’ve collaborated with as well as some local companies I just love. We had our party a couple weeks ago but the shop is open until December 25th so please pop in if you are in the South End shopping! Perfect for holiday gifts (yes, we need to start thinking about that!)
We set the table with my new collection with Jill Rosenwald (including brand new hand-painted striped dinner plates!) We made a centerpiece out of greens and jewelry (and used some The Ropes Maine bracelets as napkin rings, of course).
I am so excited to launch another cool collaboration project I’ve been working on today! I was approached by Megan and Moria Flynn, of Boston’s adorably amazing M. Flynn Jewelry, to design a capsule collection of fine jewelry for them this fall. And starting today it’s available for pre-order! (And fun fact, my middle name growing up was Flynn- my grandmother’s maiden name- so I am sure we are related somehow!)
Last Thursday I had the pleasure of hosting a little tea party for the fantastic India Hicks at Mohr & McPherson in the South End and it was a fantastic event. So many people showed up and enjoyed meeting the dynamic India and picking up some gorgeous goodies from her new line. Here’s a little recap!
Me and the fab India. I have submitted my adoptions papers for her to make me one of her brood.
I’m so, so delighted to be hosting a little get together for India Hicks next Thursday here in Boston at the fantastic Mohr & McPherson in the South End (since they source a lot from India I thought it perfectly appropriate!) I have met India before (she’s incredibly funny and lovely) and she was kind enough to review and give a quote for my book- so it’s so nice to be able to welcome her back to Boston!
