I found the work of photographer and stylist Kara Rosenlund on Pinterest (where else?) and really am loving the casual, textural feel of her work.  There’s something about summer that makes you want to just paint everything white, cover everything in linen and breathe.  Her images kind of capture that feeling for me!

Inspired By Mint & Sand

I saw these incredible photographs by Álvaro Sánchez-Montañés and was not only inspired by the magical subject matter but also the colors found in these images. That pale minty green mixed with white and sand is such a soothing palette.

Here’s a roundup of some items that reminds me of this palette- from sandy rugs to crisp mint bordered sheets….

I came across this Dutch photographer Niki Feijen thanks to Mary McDonald’s Instagram.  He tours Europe and shoots decrepit, abandoned buildings and the result is gorgeous, creepy, sad and beautiful all at the same time.  If you have time, peruse the full gallery on his site and pre-order his new book coming out in September, aptly titled Frozen (his last book sold out).  You could look at each image forever, studying all the details- the peeling wallpaper, detailed woodwork, pair of slippers waiting for their owner… it’s fascinating no?

You also can order prints on acrylic panel. I think one of these printed large scale in a perfectly decorated room would be a very interesting dichotomy…

Visual Delight: Paris in Four Months

You guys have GOT to check out Paris in Four Months-I have not been this charmed by a blog in so long. Thanks to Sarah, I spent hours this weekend pouring over the imagery created by Carin Olsson, a woman who is as in love with Paris as I am. Okay, maybe more considering she moved there on a whim alone to discover what it was like to live in the magical city. Who hasn’t dreamt of that? What incredible pictures she shoots- of the city itself, nature, fashion, beauty….everything. I am certain you will be as delighted as I am.

Chicest Ad Campaign EVER.

Is this Ferragamo campaign shot by Claiborne Swanson Frank not the more gorgeous, wonderful thing ever? I love seeing how each of these fashionable ladies styled herself and her custom Ferragamo L’Iacona shoes. I am obsessed with the details- not only of the outfits but of the settings and spaces too.

I would friggin’ sell my soul for this coat. And these legs.

This is just the most killer portrait… and sofa. And legs, again.

Lauren Santo Domingo’s whole look slays me- head to toe, I must have it. And the setting too (Paris).

The yellow, gold, green, wall molding and tiger (sadface).

The orange and turquoise combo- kill me. So good.

This is summer perfection to a T.

PREPPY HEAVEN! That room too- amazing!!!!

Oh Olivia. You are so lovely.

Love everything about this. The olive trench is just everything.

So elegant. That building too!

All black in Paris. Perfect.

The flowers, the colors…. just mind blowingly pretty.

Edgy, cool and colorful.

If I had to choose I’d probably do all black becasue I’m boring/classic like that.  Or maybe nude with black– you know, get crazy.  It’s not a shoe I’d typically be drawn to, as it seems a little granny-chic.  But now that I’ve seen this campaign, they have redefined it for a new generation and now I’m into it (the flats at least, the chunky low heel, not as much)!  Pretty genius, right?

See the monogram on the sole? So cute!

And did I mention how insanely gorgeous and lovely Clairborne Swanson Frank is? You’ve all seen her apartment in Elle Decor! I know we’d be best friends because of that leopard bench. It’s telling.

Yes, that’s her. I know…… We don’t even have to talk about it.
