Today I am super psyched to share that One Kings Lane is doing a feature sale on my rug collection! They also did a little interview with me here you can read. I am thrilled with how well these have been selling and can’t wait to see how you guys style them in your homes.
I pulled together a couple schemes using my rugs to illustrate how I might style them.
This is a den/ living room set up using the Charles Rug in Grey. This sof a is a sleeper, so this could be a great look for a guest room that also needs to function as an office or a TV room.
This is a cute look for an boys room– the tiger print headboard is AMAZING (and reminds me of a much more expensive designer fabric) and it pairs great with my Prince Rug! You could add more kid-centric art to make it more youthful or use this design as a guest room look too!
As an aside, I want to thank all of you who left such sweet, thoughtful comments on my post Monday. They have helped me SO much and I hope that others going through the same struggles will take the time to read them all as they really illustrate how none of us are alone in our private battles. XO, Erin
Old New House is one of my favorite resources for antique and vintage rugs online and is a great sponsor of EOS (what I call a perfect pairing!). Given the popularity of these rugs in design right now, I thought it would be helpful to do a little interview with the owners, Melissa and Dave, about these rugs and what the different styles are, how to care for them and what to look for. Oh, and BONUS–they are giving EOS readers a discount of 20% using code ERINGATES. Good for all of 2018! If you are a designer, they have a new trade program too which you can sign up for to receive even deeper discounts! Contact them here and request info on the trade program!

I’m so excited to share with you guys that MY RUGS ARE NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE!!!! Given any big launch, there are some glitches on some of the websites the rugs are for sale on (currently Overstock, Amazon and One Kings Lane) but for the most part we’re in pretty decent shape! :) They will be rolling out at even more websites and brick and mortar retailers over the next few weeks and months! This is so exciting!
Not every vendor carries every rug in every size, so check all three for the rug you want! Also note the names on OKL are not correct and are being fixed :)
And in honor of this launch, Momeni is kindly letting me give away a rug to THREE of you (any rug, any size up to 8′ x 10′). Just comment with which rug you would pick (including color) and I will pick a winner on Monday! (Open to US residents only, sorry!)
I’m very proud of this line and really do feel there is something for every home here– from the softest jute for a living room to the sweetest nursery rugs and even outdoor options for patios or high traffic room inside. And most of these come in runners, which is something I thought was important to offer.
Have fun browsing and shopping and be sure to enter the giveaway below!
This beauty above we snagged for a gorgeous baby girl nursery!
These days, I find a good chunk of the rugs I use in my designs on Etsy. Still a place to strike a good deal on vintage designs, Etsy allows you to buy directly from vendors in Turkey and other locations know for their artistry in the rug field. This style of rug is so wonderful in a variety of spaces and with numerous styles of decor- from modern to traditional, in a bedroom or a kitchen. They also hide a lot of dirt and stains, which is a fantastic bonus when you have a toddler dripping ice cream on them.
When looking for great vintage rugs on Etsy you need to be smart about search terms (and that means also searching for rug types that are incorrect- as I learn more about rugs as I develop my own line, I am beginning to understand the proper names for different styles). The styles that I search for are “Oushak”, “Anatolian”, “Persian”, “Turkish” and “Caucasian”. Add to that the terms “faded”, “pale” or “washed” if you want something very worn looking. Or the specific color you want… or all three (ex. “faded blue Oushak”)
Below are links to some of the great vendors I like on Etsy for rugs of this style. A lot fo you ask where I get these when I share them on Instagram, so I thought I’d share a few. :) Click on each rug image for the link!
This weekend I went down to the famous High Point Market to officially launch my new rug collection by Momeni. My staff and I have been working hard remotely to get the showroom ready, and the team on the ground from Momeni really stepped up to make it a great experience I felt great about. It was super surreal to have my own showroom (and billboard…) and show off this grouping of rugs I’m really proud of. These will all be in various retails stores and available on line (vendor TBD) in March!
