Back from Brimfield

I (Marni from StyleCarrot – Erin’s still in Paris), did a whirlwind tour of Brimfield yesterday. Oddly, I didn’t buy a thing. Not that I was on the lookout for anything in particular, but nothing caught my eye. I came across a lot of the same vendors (and in some cases, the same items) that I discovered when I went the first time back in May. I would have picked up some more stray antlers, but alas, those I did not find. Here’s an array of what I saw. You can check out today’s post on my blog for more pictures, or this post for specific vendors if you’re planning a visit.

Scandinavian style: raw muslin covered furniture.

Glass handles aplenty.

Hunks of wood. Tres trendy.

Carousel horse.
Burlap sack chic.

Empire era for kids.

Loose type speaks out.

Would be perfect framed in a nursery.

A huge statement piece.

Such rich colors on these vintage advertising prints.

Bamboo bed.

A sorta scary skull.

Madline Weinrib on One King’s Lane!

Hi! While Erin’s off living the good life in Paris, I’ll be filling in today and tomorrow. I met Erin through the article I wrote for the Boston Globe about her fabulous home and style. Most of you probably saw my follow up post about Erin’s house on my blog, Style Carrot. I’ll make today’s post quick – I’m off to Brimfield in 15 minutes. (If you’re planning on going this week, check out my list of top 10 vendors, as identified by Jill Goldberg from Hudson.) Tomorrow I’ll share my newest finds. But first….

One Kings Lane is having a Madeline Weinrib sale today!!! I love, love, love her rugs and pillows, and am hoping there is some gorgeous piece I can snag for a super bargain. It starts at 11am (of course, I’ll surely be driving then; perhaps my car mate will do some fancy iphone buying for me). If you are reading this blog, I am guessing you are well acquainted with this granddaughter of ABC Carpet & Home founder. But just to get you excited, here is an array of my personal favorites. Happy shopping, and please, leave something for me!
