FINALLY I can show you guys Henry’s big boy room!!!! It took me a long time to get this right, but I really think I did. Every time I walk in here I really feel like it’s such a reflection of Henry and his happy, sweet, wonderful little personality! And he loves it too, which is the BEST.

Fall clothes always feel SO expensive. It’s like, when did everything, even sweaters, become $300+??? While it’s smart to invest in more expensive things you’ll wear a long time, like coats, for the cooler weather, it’s painful to shell out hundreds of dollars for boots or jeans. You can find plenty of timeless, great looks that are still of good quality for less. So today I partnered with Nordstrom to bring you some great selections that are on trend, but not TRENDY for fall.

I am the kind of person who still loves a good stack of new catalogs. The other day I got home from work and while Andrew was giving Henry his bath flipped through a couple and came across a new home decor one called OKA. I had never heard of them before, and almost passed it over, and I am SO glad I didn’t. There were SO many finds!!! So I thought it would be prudent to share this new (from England) retail source!

The one accessory that clients rarely have enough of when we are trying to photograph their spaces for publication are books. There have a been a couple times we have needed to edit bookshelves down, but usually we have to bring in stacks and stacks of our own books to flesh out a space, especially one with lots of built in shelving. And while we may love your tattered series of paperback Twilight books or Harry Potter as much as the next gal, we’d prefer NOT to shoot those :) Beautiful coffee table books are worth investing in not only for the delightful subject matter inside, but also as decorative objects. A home is not a home without books!

I’m so excited to finally share my guest room makeover with you guys! When we decided to move Henry into the old guest room (which is larger), we knew we’d need to make his old nursery the guest room. After investing in the Susan Harter mural, I knew I didn’t want to take it down (and was part of the reason I chose it- because I knew it could transition into another type of room). At the same time as I was thinking about what to do, Serena & Lily contacted me about opening a store nearby in Chestnut Hill, MA and asked if I wanted to partner with them on any sort of room makeovers! Um, YES PLEASE AND THANK YOU!
